Hi, nice to meet you!

Regone Studios is the brain child of artist and illustrator, David Regone. After honing his skills as an architect in New York City, David now dedicates his time towards visual storytelling. He employs graphic illustration techniques to craft bold, impactful pieces that reflect on our relationship to our environment. His work primarily explores the social dynamics of urban living, and the absurdities of the human condition. Through his art, David seeks to foster a sense of connection with our world drawing attention to the charm of often-overlooked nuances of daily life.

While we do not condone pollution or the trashing of our world, we cannot help but to stop and stare. Endlessly fascinated by human detritus, we seek to explore the relationship between man and waste. What if our discards could be used to foster growth instead of being chucked in a landfill?

A Unique Style

Linework plays a unique role in bringing a scene to life. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Al Hirschfeld, Bill Waterson, and Craig Thompson, David uses expressive brush strokes to animate static imagery.

ART ON THE MOVE

Back in 2020, David decided to take advantage of the COVID years and fufilled his dream of building an art studio inside of a high roof cargo Van. He uses this mobile command center to find inspiration while showcasing his work around the country. When not on the road, he can be found on the streets of Austin, TX with Pancho, his canine co-pilot.
